NATURAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Wanderin' through nature, and snapping natural shots on my adventures...
I've always been the outdoorsy girl... I find peace in nature, and it's often hard to describe the feeling. Ever since I could remember I struggled with a combination of depression and anxiety. On top of those two add trauma... Trauma is a complex concept, and I'm still working on processing that one. However, one day in the midst of the struggle I woke up and realized I wasn't going to let the constant heavy thoughts of worrying and not feeling like I was enough bring me down. Glass can be shattered, but it's about carefully picking up the pieces. At that moment, I decided to turn my compassion for nature into a hobby and made a commitment to myself to keep adventuring. It's like taking a break from the real world and getting lost in mother nature's beautiful creations. Giving my mind a rest, and continuously compiling memories of reasons to keep pushing forward. I've now had experience in the mental health field as a therapist, and I'm there every step of the way for my patients because I can relate to some of their experiences. I always say as long as you have a little ounce of hope there is always a silver lining. You are worthy. Keep going!
